What to do with charity scarves?

Over the last three years I have collected charity scarves with a view of doing something with them. The Covid-19 lockdown has got me doing things other than painting. I have two old Elna sewing machines which I cleaned and oiled, and also gave my sewing paraphernalia a good sorting out. In the sewing basket, I found a number of items for mending, and there they were, the collection of charity scarves!

As you can see, the scarves made an extremely cheerful tablecloth.

The word HOPE is printed in different South African Languages, which is inspiring considering the state the world is in now, and this prompted me to create the HOPE quote beneath. 📝

HOPE !
