An array of small framed paintings organised attractively on a wall dedicated to art or photography adds an interesting dimension to a living space. Art arranged like this always catches my eye and I am immediately drawn to these displays. The arrangements are a great talking point, inevitably opening up comfortable discussions.

With this in mind, the small colorful artworks featured here are exactly what I had in mind for home galleries, designed to fit perfectly into home spaces.

THE ART

Besides being an artist I am a gardener! I love nature in all its forms, from the earth to shrubs, trees and flowers. I enjoy dirt, digging and planting. Painting scenes from my garden is an extension of the joy that gardening brings, including imagined still-life art.

The art beneath was created with mixed media: pen, ink, gouache, pastel, watercolour, and acrylic. Unless stated all the sizes are A4, (210mm x 297mm). The art is not framed.

Pause for a while
To reconcile,
Hurried thoughts
Amid life's onslaughts.
Stroll amongst the flowers,
Intricate and serene;
Exquisite creations 
Of perfumed, multi-coloured
Petals betwixt the greens. 
Gaze upon the flowers,
Breathe in their fleeting beauty;
They are here today,
And gone tomorrow!
